Chookalicious
Modernising a local family-owned takeaway shop with 20 years of history.
Chookalicious is a family-run takeaway that has served Winston Hills and the wider Hills District for more than 35 years. While working at TNM Creative Media, I helped lead a rebrand designed to modernise the business and build a strong foundation for future franchising.
The team wanted to move away from the generic look of a typical takeaway shop and create something more distinctive and memorable. The brand also needed to retain its strong local recognition while subtly referencing the owners’ Greek heritage.
The new identity centres on a bold black-and-white palette with a vibrant yellow accent, striking a balance between simplicity and energy. The system was designed to work seamlessly across packaging, signage, digital platforms, and in-store materials, giving the brand a confident and recognisable presence.
In late 2025, while working at TNM Creative Media, I helped develop a campaign celebrating Chookalicious’s most iconic menu item, the potato scallop. The result was The Great Potato Scallop Eat-Off, a playful community activation challenging locals to out-eat professional competitive eater JWebby.
I created the campaign illustrations, logotype, and colour palette, and developed merchandise concepts for the event. Working with the TNM team, we delivered a full activation including photography, video, and a microsite that significantly grew the brand’s EDM database.
